GHAWTH is looking for a program officer at its Khaldeh office.
Job description
1- Leads the projects planning process ensuring sustainability and efficiency
2- Provides strategic guidance, strong leadership
3- Ensures the operational effectiveness of all programs
4- Elaborates a detailed activity plan to complete the project in a timely and efficient manner in compliance with the initial proposal
5- Ensures timely and accurate reporting to the donors
6- Ensures that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
7-Plans all required resources for the project implementation
8- Executes the project according to the project plan in direct coordination with the project team
9- Leads and motivates the project team to ensure that they can perform their responsibilities
10-Promotes a positive work environment and encourage collaboration and coordination across teams
11- Develops forms and records to document project activities according to the donors’ requirement
12-Establishes a communication schedule to update the management on the progress of the project
13- Ensures that the project implementation is compliant with the donors’ rules and regulations and are relevant to the mission and vision of the Organization
14- Develops budget forecast plan and approve all budgeted project expenditures
15- Monitors the budget on a regular basis (bimonthly) and ensure that financial records are up to date
16-Builds relationship with beneficiary communities
17- Works closely with the financial department to prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for donors’
18- Prepares payment requests
19- Conducts field visits when needed
20- Coordinates with the M&E department to monitor the progress of the project against set indicators in a timely manner
21- Coordinates with the procurement department to plan the purchases of goods and services
22- Coordinates with the communication department regarding all external communications and visibility
23- Drafts a gap analysis for any delay or challenges and take necessary corrective and preventive actions accordingly
24- Elaborates monthly progress narrative and financial reports to be checked and approved by the head of program
25- Supports in the development of new proposals and budget for new projects
26- Supports in the development and implementation of the exit strategy
27- Applies and follows code of ethics, values, mission, and vision of GHAWTH.
28- Performs other related duties assigned by executive director.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Development, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
5 to 10 years
